INTRODUCTION USING MONTESSORI 3-5 PART CARDS

This Montessori-inspired 5-part card introduces the child to what a food web and food chains are and describes the role of each organism in the food web.

Note that these cards are color-coded (border) based on the biome.

BUILD YOUR OWN ACTIVITY

I provided printable cards, arrows, descriptions, and labels so the child could recreate the diagrams and add more details. The animal cards are in real images, clipart, and blackline versions; just print the one that suits your needs.  The arrows will show the energy transfer, and the child can use the other labels to identify the animals based on their diet and their role in the food web.

Information Summary Cards and Research Papers

Furthermore, I added information cards summarizing each animal's role in the food web.  Instead of using information cards, older kids can use research papers to investigate the Deciduous Food Web and fill out the information independently.  Note that my son is filling out these research papers!

Also included (my favorite set) are 32 task cards that provide questions based on the food web and chain diagrams. It requires thinking to analyze the diagram

The bundle is now available in our shop:
